Unable to update my glasses firmware.

My Phone: motorola edge X30(XT2201-2)

Android version: 13

Software version: T1SC33.52-8-22


When I connect ThinkRealityA3 for the first time, my phone will automatically open UDC.

At this time, the firmware version on the glasses side is shown in the following figure.

Then after waiting for a period of time, all the software is installed and updated, including UDC.

At this time, I opened TR HUB app, and no firmware update prompt appeared.

I would like to ask how to update the firmware version, or manually, and hope to get your support.


I bought the mobile phone myself, not in the development kit, but I still hope to experience the examples in spaces sdk and get your help.

Please try using Lenovo VDM on a PC to update the glasses firmware. 

Lenovo VDM is available for download at  Lenovo Virtual Display Manager (VDM) for Windows 11 and 10 - Lenovo Support US  


This requires you to connect the Think Reality A3 glasses via USB C to the PC. You should be able to see the firmware version of the glasses in the settings. 

After waiting for a couple minutes with the glasses connected a prompt should allow you to update them.

But I didn't find out how to update the firmware version.

547 is not a production firmware release. There is no upgrade path for this pre-production/engineering firmware. These glasses should be retuned to where you bought them for a warranty replacement. If you need help, please email me at [email protected]

I have identified that your device has been registered four times. Could you please go online so I can ascertain which registration needs to be deleted? This will enable me to proceed with pushing the firmware update for your glasses.

547 is a pre-production/engineering build. It is not upgradeable through the normal process. These glasses should be returned for a full warranty replacement. If you have any issues doing that feel free to reach out directly for help at [email protected]

    I bought a new moto phone. And go through the registration process again according to the process.

    Is there any other way for me to update the firmware?

    First of all I'm in China and warranty service can be very difficult. Because the glasses are not sold in China, I bought them on the second-hand market. Currently, I only have the glasses themselves and no other proof of purchase.
